What the flock?
Lot's of action today, got to the office and a box of flock was waiting for me.
This is how i am going to make the ice creep furry.
I spent some time washing the creep after his birth in the 3-d printer.
Then i cut down a set of the plastic eyes to fit in to his ocular cavities.
I got out my dental tools and did a little drilling to make room for some teeth.
And here he stands waiting for some makeup and fur
I am also very excited because Tamara decided that the ice creep was going to be lonely and needed a wife so she drew her up. I suppose i have no choice but to make her next.

It's cold outside...I'm making a thing
I'm going to keep posting stuff here. I AM!
Here's something i am working on just for kicks.
I am modeling in sensable freeform
We start of with a somewhat familiar platform.
Sensable alows you to use a graphic image to create actual 3-d geometry.
the simple explanation is that you assign a height to your darkest tone (black) let's say 1.5mm and your lightest tone (white) equals 0. you then paint your model with this pattern and the software is able to calculate the surface rise based on the gradients in your image. Pretty cool!
here is the model after the texture is applied.

make it creepy
MAKE IT REAL CREEPY!
here's a previous weirdo
